PREVIEW: Greater Timonium Community Council December Meeting

The Maryland General Assembly, county ethics law, and community development will be discussed at tonight's meeting.

A preview of what to expect from the upcoming Maryland General Assembly, Baltimore County Ethics Law revision and community development at Pot Spring and Old Bosley are topics that will be discussed during tonight's Greater Timonium Community Council meeting.

State Delegates William Frank and Stephen Lafferty will be in attendance tonight, according to the council's agenda, providing a glimpse into what lies ahead in Annapolis.

The council will also discuss the county's ethics law revisions. Patch associate regional editor Bryan Sears says the "overhaul of county ethics laws barely registered a blip on the radar during the  Tuesday." There are likely to be a about the bill.

A vote is scheduled for this Monday night at 6 p.m., Sears reports. 

And community development at Pot Spring and Old Bosley is back on the agenda. Developer Jeff Kirby has submitted a "concept plan" for the planned 13 houses on the property, in keeping with existing zoning, according to

A conference is scheduled for Dec. 20 in the County Office Building, room 106, to discuss the concept. A community input meeting will be held in January.

Development at Pot Spring and Old Bosley became a matter of contention earlier this year as to accommodate more housing. Local homeowners balked at the idea.
