When Will Baltimore County Trash Be Collected after Ice Storm?

Baltimore County provided an update on its work, curbside collection services.

Crews from Baltimore County were clearing debris and addressing road closures as quickly as possible after the ice storm but trash collection may be delayed, officials said.

"Due to inclement weather, trash and recycling collections will occur when and where conditions permit," Baltimore County officials said Thursday.

Approximately 100 trees fell in roads across the county on Wednesday during a bout of freezing rain and ice.

"Please leave materials out until collection occurs," the county advised.

More than 16,000 BGE customers were without power in Baltimore County Thursday at 4 p.m. The utility company was tackling a mass of outages statewide, and Baltimore County reported it was working to clear roads of debris.

The county reported that all drop-off centers would be open for regular hours, including the Eastern Sanitary Landfill in White Marsh.
