Baltimore County Seeks Mays Chapel School Names

Residents are being asked to submit suggestions for naming the new school.

Baltimore County Public Schools want residents to help name a new elementary under construction in Mays Chapel.

Names for the school maybe submitted starting Monday through Oct. 18 by sending an email to the communications@bcps.org. Residents are allowed to submit more than one name, according to a news release.

"A goal for this school is for it to be a truly community-oriented school, one in which collaboration with parents, teachers, students and the community is an important and beneficial hallmark,” Steve Coco, principal of the new school, said in the release. “I’m looking forward to hearing from voices across our area through the process of considering and selecting just the right name for our new school."
