Baltimore County Streaming Mays Chapel Elementary Districting Hearings

The school system is trying to draw up boundary lines to determine which neighborhoods will send students to the new school.

Meetings about the districting for the new elementary school being built in Mays Chapel will be streamed via the Internet.

The third meeting of a committee trying to create options for the boundary lines for attending the school scheduled for 6 p.m., Wednesday will be streamed on the Baltimore County Public School’s website, according to a news release.

Currently the committee consisting of school officials, parents and community members are putting together several districting proposals. The various proposals will be presented for community input in December, and then the Board of Education will approve the boundary lines in January.

Committee meetings will also be held on Nov. 20 and Dec. 18. at Cockeysville Middle School, 10401 Greenside Drive.
