Jennifer Hu, a Timonium resident and a senior at McDonogh School, has been named a semifinalist in the 2014 National Merrit Scholarship program, according to a news release from the school.
She is one of 16,000 semifinalists nationwide who are competing for scholarships which will be offered next spring. According to the news release, about 1.5 million juniors entered the 2014 program by taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
