3 Orioles Win Silver Slugger Awards

It's the first time three Orioles have won the award in the same season.

Three members of the Baltimore Orioles were announced as Silver Slugger award winners on Wednesday. The awards—presented by Louisville Slugger—go to the best offensive player at each position in each league.

Chris Davis, first base, Adam Jones, center field, and J.J. Hardy, shortstop, all were named the best batsmen at their respective positions in the American League.

This is the first time in franchise history that three Orioles received the award in the same year, according to Major League Baseball’s website.
