Mike Mussina: Orioles or Yankees Hall of Famer?

The pitcher, who spent the start of his career in Baltimore, is on the Hall of Fame ballot for the first time.

The Baseball Writers Association of America announced its ballot for the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame Tuesday, and included on that list is former Orioles and Yankees pitcher Mike Mussina.

Mussina played for 18 years in the Major Leagues, the first decade of his career was played in Baltimore, and the final eight years were played in New York.

As a member of the Orioles, Mussina posted a 3.53 Earned Run Average, won 147 games, was named an All-Star five times and was awarded four Gold Gloves. He also tossed 45 complete games with 15 shutouts.

As a Yankee he had a 3.88 Earned Run Average, won 123 games, was awarded three Gold Gloves. He pitched 12 complete games and eight shutouts during his time in New York.

To earn enshrinement into the Hall of Fame a player must appear on 75 percent of the ballots cast by BWAA voters. None of the players on the 2013 ballot were elected.
