Johnson graduated from St. Paul's in 2005 where he was named Player of the Year as a senior by the Baltimore Sun.

Since then, Johnson has come a long way from the pitching mounds in Brooklandville to the stadiums in Bowie and Norfolk onto an ESPN highlight reel.
