Can You Help ShopRite's Cans For Fans Food Drive?

Help fight hunger with a just one click.

How? With just one click. 

No need to bring in food, or donate cans—ShopRite will take care of all that. All you have to do is "like" or become a fan of the local grocery store's Facebook, here.

Between now and Jan. 21, every new "like" received will count toward a one-can donation (up to 50,000 cans) from the grocery co-op for the 41st annual Can Can Sale. The cans will be given to local food banks. 

 “The annual Can Can sale is the perfect opportunity for ShopRite to raise awareness of the issue of hunger in our communities,” said Christine Magyarits, community relations manager for ShopRite in a release. “Cans for Fans is a fun yet powerful way to engage our customers in the fight against this ever-growing problem in our nation. Hunger affects us all and we thank our loyal fans for continuing to help us in support of this worthy cause.”

About 40,000 cans were donated in 2011 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the annual food drive.
