PHOTO OF THE DAY: Santa and His Fire Truck Sleigh

The Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company gets in the holiday spirit this Saturday with annual Kindertime Toy Drive.

On top of spreading joy to the residents of Lutherville-Timonium and Towson with their Santa Claus and fire sirens (see photo), the will be giving back to children this holiday season. 

On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the is scheduled to host an open house featuring antique and new firefighting equipment. The event is a chance for the public to meet first responders as well as provide an opportunity to give gifts to children in need. 

The fire company will be partnering with both the Fire Museum and WMAR for the annual Kindertime Toy Drive

"Police and firefighters will be bringing in collected toys in their service vehicles. Modern fire engines and police vehicles will be on display and dropping off toys from 10 [a.m.] to 2 p.m.," reads a statement on the Fire Museum's website. "Inside the museum are two centuries of fire fighting apparatus and exhibits. Kids can dress up in turnout gear and climb on a 1938 Mack Engine." 

Families interested in helping out should bring an unwrapped toy to the block party at the museum. Here is the full list of drop-off locations

"Anyone bringing an unwrapped new toy to benefit the , during the block part, will become eligible to win a family four pack of tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the [First Mariner Arena] on Friday December 30th," reads a release sent from ABC2 News.
