I've never liked watching the Times Square New Year's Eve celebration. It just seems a little anticlimactic watching the ball slowly descend moments before midnight. I always wanted it to suddenly release and plummet to the ground, ringing in the New Year with a crash and some shattered fiberglass. I had never wanted that more than his year than when I heard that the Jersey Shore's Snooki would be inside the ball. But then I read this post from the fine folks at TMZ. No matter what you choose to watch on TV Friday night, though, you won't have to go far to simulate the Times Square experience by squeezing yourself into a crowd of drunks and not being able to see what's going on.
