Cockeysville Man Arrested In Towson Shooting
Police say the shooting occurred outside Charles Village Pub early Sunday morning.
A Cockeysville man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a Towson shooting early Sunday morning. Francis Minsung Kang, 26, of the unit block of Brook Farm Court in Cockeysville has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and use of a handgun in committing a felony. Around 2:05 a.m. Dec. 16, officers on a routine patrol heard gunshots coming from the unit block of W. Chesapeake Avenue, according to an email from Lt. Robert McCullough, a police spokesman. The officers were able to immediately stop a truck they saw fleeing the scene and arrest Kang, McCullough wrote. Investigation revealed that Kang was involved in a fight outside Charles Village Pub. I am pleased to see that the State has charged him with the mandatory minimum handgun violation. Permit or no permit, this individual used this handgun outside acceptable permit parameters and for that he needs to be held accountable regardless of whether he is a good guy or not. No exceptions should be made for anyone. If he is as good a guy as some say, he would recognize this.   more ›
