Franklin Staves Off Comeback, Eeks Out Win at Dulaney

The visiting Indians used a huge second and third quarter to ward off the Lions who battled back with a 26-point fourth quarter effort.

Saturday afternoon at Dulaney, Franklin put together two of its strongest quarters of the season, outscoring the Lions 39-19 over the middle two frames—and it’s a good thing they did. After scoring 31 points in the first three quarters combined, Dulaney exploded for 26 in the fourth, including an 18-2 run to open the period that trimmed what was a 19-point deficit (50-31) to just three with less than three minutes to play. However, key buckets by the Indians Joe Walsh and Devin Hebron kept the Lions from roaring all the way back, and senior guard Greg Ramsey sealed the win with two clutch free throws (in a one-and-one situation) to ice a 62-57 victory.
