On Friday Feb. 22, three males approached a woman in the 100 block of Windy Falls Way in Cockeysville. One of the males pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the woman. They demanded that she give them everything she had. The three took the woman’s cigarettes and ran. CRIME: Food Delivery Man Assaulted, Sent to Shock Trauma

A 56-year-old man was attacked while making a delivery to a Cockeysville apartment.

A Cockeysville resident and local food delivery man was attacked last week while trying to make a delivery to a nearby apartment complex.  The 56-year-old delivery man was attacked by multiple assailants in the 1000 block of Misty Lynn Circle between 6:46 and 7:16 p.m., on Feb. 10.  The man suffered a severe head injury and was sent to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment.  Due to a language barrier and the severity of the man’s injuries, police could not determine what, if anything, was stolen. Crime Log: Police Report Sharp Drop in Burglaries

The following information regarding police activity in Cockeysville, Hunt Valley and North County was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

The number of reported burglaries in the Cockeysville and North County areas dropped sharply during the past two weeks, police incident summaries show. There were only two reported burglaries reported in the area last week, after averaging about eight a week since the start of the new year.  Read last week's crime log here. The decrease follows police increasing patrols in affected areas, particularly the Jacksonville sector of North County. Police reported making two critical arrests in late January they believe will lead to solving more than a dozen area burglaries.  Meanwhile, there were no reports of major crimes in Lutherville-Timonium. Police Make Arrests in North County Burglaries, Car Break-ins

Precinct 7 police have cleared 12 reports of burglaries, as the investigation continues.

Police have arrested two individuals allegedly responsible for a recent spate of home and car break-ins in northern Baltimore County, according to acting commander of the Cockeysville Police Precinct Lt. Robert McGraw. Baltimore County Police believe Harford County resident Jesse Hoopes, 34, is responsible for several burglaries in the Jacksonsville area, McGraw said. McGraw could not provide exact locations of reported burglaries, citing an ongoing investigation. Hoopes, a resident of the 1600 block of Michelle Court, was arrested on Jan. 28 and charged with fourth-degree burglary and attempted burglary. Hoopes has been arrested and found guilty of similar crimes in the past few years, online court records show. Additionally, police have …

CRIME LOG: Another Gun Stolen, Rite Aid Robbed at Knife-Point & More

The following information regarding police activity in Cockeysville, Hunt Valley and North County was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Cockeysville, Hunt Valley and towns to the north together reported arguably the worst week of 2013 when it comes to crime. There were nine burglaries—including one excessively aggressive break-in—as well as an armed robbery, a case of harassment, a very good dog and a dropped cell phone that helped a police investigation. In my opinion however, the worst thing that happened last week was that another handgun was reported stolen. That makes at least three incidents in 2013 where a gun or multiple guns were included in a burglar's haul. But more on that later.   Read last week's crime log here. Police: Thieves Target Area Autos

There were nine reported thefts from automobiles between Sunday and Monday.

Police are increasing patrols hoping to stop a spate of thefts after several cars were broken into during a recent 48 hour period, according to Precinct 7 Lt. Robert McGraw.  There were nine incidents reported in the Precint 7 coverage area between Sunday Jan. 20 and Monday Jan. 21. Precinct 7 stretches from Lutherville north to the state line. Petty thefts from cars have however been an issue since the start of the new year (see related content below). "We've been getting hit by thefts from autos ... across the precinct," McGraw said. "We're not sure if it's one or multiple groups at this point." He added that police are following up on a number of leads at this time. The majority of the thefts were facilitated by an unlocked door, …

Another week and another set—yes, as in multiple—guns were stolen from a North County home. The police report makes no mention of a safe.  But that wasn't the only major crime committed in Cockeysville, Hunt Valley and the communities comprising North County.  Read last week's crime log here.  The majority of last week's reports came from burglaries of unlocked homes and cars.  Notable stolen items included a mini-bike, Apple products, the aforementioned guns, and prescription painkillers. Crime Log: Man Attacked With Flower Pot, 3 Guns Stolen & More

The following information regarding police activity in Cockeysville, Hunt Valley and North County was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Another week, another bizarre armed robbery reported in Cockeysville. Read through the log to find out what we mean. Six burglaries and one armed robbery fill out this week's crime log. Entries include stolen items ranging from high-priced electronics to fast food. Yes, fast food.  Read last week's crime log here.  The most alarming items stolen however were handguns—three to be exact—taken out of an unsecured home. That's sure to stir the debate about gun control issues circling the State House right about now.  But we begin this week's log with a crime of passion (not literally) committed against an elderly Ravens fan.  Dubbs Road, 16600 block, between 6 p.m., Jan. 12 and 10 a.m., Jan. 13. Someone stole an 82-year-old man’s Baltimore …
