Darrell Hammond Performing at Magooby's

The longest serving Saturday Night Live cast member brings his political wit and arsenal of impressions to Timonium Thursday to Saturday.

Given the opportunity, who would you rather meet: former President Bill Clinton or the worst Jeopardy player for all time, Sean Connery? It's a tough choice, we know. Take your time. You wouldn't have to make that arduous choice however if you had plans to head over to Magooby's Joke House this weekened. The Timonium comedy club is featuring Darrell Hammond for five shows from Thursday to Saturday. The show was initially planned for early September, although a scheduling snafu pushed the apperance back to this weekend. Hammond has the distinction of being the longest serving Saturday Night Live cast member, where he became known for his impression of President Clinton. Hammond actually performed his impression for our 42nd President at the…

There really isn't a "reduced" when it comes to performing at Magooby's. Have you been? They book A-list talent, often. - ND (Also, if you read the story I wrote way back when about it, he confronts the tsunami tweets head on. Magooby’s to Host Fundraiser for Animals Shelters

The Timonium comedy club will showcase local talent to benefit Luna’s House and Jasmine’s House.

Magooby’s co-operator Marc Unger has a few choice words for animal abusers and the Maryland Court of Appeals, which ruled pit bulls are inherently dangerous beasts. But no—I can’t share them in this family-friendly forum. Instead, I can tell you about the the first “Magooby’s Goes To The Dogs” fundraiser comedy show, with proceedings directly benefiting two local animal shelters. “The idea for the fundraiser, came before the ruling. The ruling just sort of added an extra element to it,” Unger said. “This will an opportunity to vent about that. I’ll make fun of the people behind that and what their fears are. You know, Dan Rodricks, who I almost always agree with, wrote a pretty scathing column backing up the ruling and his own fear of pit …

VIDEO: Speaking With The World Champion Judah Friedlander

The comedian/actor performed at Magooby's Joke House Sunday.

Patch sat down with comedian and actor Judah Friedlander Sunday, following his show at Magooby's Joke House in Timonium. We chatted about his stand-up career, his role on NBC's 30 Rock, his Maryland roots and much more. Click through the attached videos to see our interview with Friedlander. _____ Judah Friedlander is and forever will be the World Champion—at everything. It's the cornerstone of his on-stage act, which focuses 90 percent on audience engagement. He asked audiences Sunday in Timonium to question his future platforms when he runs for president. He's banned in most sports leagues because of athletic prowess. And for kicks, he called me an arrogant photographer—but that's another story. When Friedlander delivers joke after joke…

Judah Friedlander Launches #SaveTimonium Campaign

The comedian and "30 Rock" star warns of an impending alien invasion—if you don't go see his show Sunday at Magooby's. True story.

UPDATE—Just got retweeted by Mr. Friedlander. This is how I feel when a celebrity retweets a post. ___ ___ There are story pitches and then there are story pitches. Standup comic and 30 Rock star Judah Friedlander believes in the latter. I received a Twitter message this morning from Friedlander, urging me to watch the video above. It was tagged #SaveTimonium. How can you say no to a guy with close to 260,000 followers? After watch the video, I almost regretted it. Almost. (Fact: Friedlander is the second celebrity to Tweet at @TimoniumPatch. MTV's Jackass star Dave England was the first.) It is perhaps the most bizarre 73-second viral video marketing I have ever seen. And I love it. Click the video above to see for yourself. If you're to …

Judah Friedlander Headlining in Timonium

The '30 Rock' star will be at Magooby's Joke House for one night only this weekend.

Judah Friedlander is the world champion—at everything. Just ask him. And he'll be performing for one night only at Magooby's Joke House this weekend. Friedlander is today perhaps best known for his role as comedy writer Frank Rossitano in NBC's 30 Rock. The show was recently spared from the "Peacock's" chopping block and will be renewed for a seventh and final (albeit shortened) 13-episode season. But Friedlander considers himself a standup comedian first and foremost. "Judah started doing stand-up in 1989 and has been doing it just about every night ever since," reads the comedian's bio. "Even though Judah has made over 30 movies and appeared in hundreds of TV shows - stand-up comedy is Judah’s priority and specialty. He is not an actor …
