Aumann, Other Reps To Host Firearms Town Hall Saturday

Del. Aumann, an 42nd district republican who represents the Timonium area, will join five other elected officials in hosting the town hall meeting Saturday morning.

Republican lawmakers are planning to host a town hall meeting in Parkton Saturday morning to discuss firearms. The meeting, to be held at the Parkton American Legion from 10-11:30 a.m. Mar. 16, is hosted by Del. Susan Aumann, who represents the Lutherville-Timonium area, along with Dels. Rick Impallaria, Joe Boteler, Pat McDonough, Kathy Szeliga, and Sen. J.B. Jennings. Other invited participants include the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore, the National Rifle Association (NRA), and MD Shall Issue. "All are invited to come and weigh in on current firearm laws as well as firearm law proposals before the General Assembly," according to an email from the group of lawmakers. Crime Log: Man Attacked With Flower Pot, 3 Guns Stolen & More

Another week, another bizarre armed robbery reported in Cockeysville. Read through the log to find out what we mean. Six burglaries and one armed robbery fill out this week's crime log. Entries include stolen items ranging from high-priced electronics to fast food. Yes, fast food.  Read last week's crime log here.  The most alarming items stolen however were handguns—three to be exact—taken out of an unsecured home. Timonium Gun Show Gets Boost From Talk of Assault Rifle Ban

The fairly regular event at the Maryland State Fairgrounds drew an early line Friday and is expected to grow Saturday.

Gun enthusiasts lined up around Exhibition Hall at the Maryland State Fairgrounds Friday, drawn to this weekend's gun show because of fears about possible new laws in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre "Because people are scared," Neil Kravitz, a spokesman for the gun show, said. "The minute they say the word 'gun ban' 300 million guns are going to change hands. "It’s no different than going on the air and saying 'there’s going to be a snowstorm,'" he continued. "Then [the supermarkets] run out of toilet paper. There is no difference."
