UPDATE: Details Emerge in 3-Car Accident With School Bus

One man was seriously injured and rushed to Sinai Hospital. The investigation is ongoing.

No charges have been filed in connection with Tuesday morning's crash at in the intersection of York and Ridgely Roads, though police believe a Pikesville man may be responsible for the wreck involving three cars and a school bus. Two men were transported to area hospitals as a result of the crash. No students aboard the bus were harmed, police said.  Baltimore County police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher said a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe collided with a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe that was stopped at a red light at the intersection of York and Ridgely roads.   The newer model Santa Fe was driven by a 55-year-old Pikesville man. UPDATE: Accident Involving School Bus Reported at York and Ridgely

No one on the school bus was injured, although two other cars were involved in the crash.

UPDATE (10:25 p.m.)—A driver was injured in the Tuesday morning car wreck at York and Ridgely roads.  Baltimore County police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher said the driver suffered non-life threatening wounds.  Three vehicles, including a Baltimore County Public Schools school bus were involved in the accident. There were children aboard the bus at the time of the collision, although no kids were hurt. The children aboard the bus have been transported to school.  Baltimore County police crash team is investigating the incident. Winter Weather Advisory In Effect Early Monday

The advisory lasts from 5 a.m. until noon in much of Maryland.

Much of Maryland—from the D.C. metro area to the Baltimore suburbs—is under a winter weather advisory Monday morning. The advisory is in effect from 5 a.m. until noon in Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Montgomery counties, as well as Baltimore City, the National Weather Service announced Sunday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to be in the high 20s by midday, but morning commuters may encounter freezing rain mixed with sleet and possibly snow, according to the advisory. Only a trace of accumulation is expected. Winds from the south will gust to 10 to 15 mph, the advisory said. The precipitation "will cause travel difficulties," the advisory said. Drivers should use caution and "be prepared for slippery roads and limited" …

Overturned Tractor Trailer Reported at Padonia Road

Driver should exercise caution along Interstate 83 southbound.

UPDATE—The Padonia Road exit has been reopened and the accident has been cleaned up.  A tractor trailer overturned Thursday afternoon at the Padonia Road exit off of Interstate 83 southbound, State Highway Administration cameras show.  Police have blocked off the exit to drivers.  Stay with Patch as we continue to update this story.

Highway Administration Resurfacing Segments of I-83

Plan for extra travel time if you're going from Baltimore County to Baltimore City.

The Maryland State Highway Administration will be resurfacing parts of Interstate 83, among other stretches of road, between now and July, according to a release.  Drivers should plan for extra travel time at nights. Single and double lane closures starting this week will begin after 7 and 10 p.m., respectively.  Most affected routes, from the release, include:  Gray & Son, Inc., of Timonium, was awarded the $5.8 million contract, which also affects Interstate 70, Interstate 95, Interstate 195, MD 295, Interstate 695 and Interstate 795. "As crews strive to keep work zones safe, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. SHA To Resurface, Improve Safety on York Road

Drivers are advised to plan for extra travel time at night.

State Highway Administration road crews will be repairing and resurfacing a one mile stretch of York Road between now and the end of summer, according to a release. The $1.2 million project will upgrade sections of curb, gutter and sidewalk, to meet current Americans With Disabilities Act standards. Patching, grinding and resurfacing work will begin in mid-June. Traffic shifts and single lane closures between Ridgely and Timonium roads will take effect between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays. "No SHA construction-related lane closures will take place along York Road in Timonium during the Maryland State Fair (August 24 – September 3). Weather permitting, the project is expected to be complete by Labor Day," the release states. …
