Oktoberfest Promoters Tout Safety Record
Fairgrounds managers say a conversation about next year's festival will take place in the coming weeks
Representatives of the company that promotes the annual Maryland Brewer's Oktoberfest have told Patch that the stabbing following the recent beer tasting was a matter for the Maryland State Fairgrounds to handle and that their events have a stellar safety record. Trigger Agency representatives have declined to comment directly about last week's stabbing after the Oktoberfest and have called the incident a "public issue." But in an e-mail to Patch the company's president has said the stabbing is not an issue for his company as it took place after the beer festival at another fairgrounds location.
