Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Company Firefighter Gene Kirchner's funeral procession will begin at Har Sinai Congregation in Owings Mills, and head east, affecting Greenspring Avenue, Broadway, Falls and Padonia roads.
Firefighter Gene Kirchner's funeral is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday at Har Sinai Congregation in Owings Mills. And some roadways will be affected, beginning at 11:30 a.m. At 11:30 a.m., Walnut Avenue will be closed between Greenspring and Park Heights avenues. It will reopen after the funeral procession has left the synagogue, according to a news release from Baltimore County police. However, police will be on hand to help people who reside on Walnut, the release states. Also, the procession route to Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens will: Begin at Har Sinai, located at 2905 Walnut Ave., taking a right on Walnut Ave., a right on Greenspring Ave., to Broadway. James White, 64, went missing from a group home in February, and his body was found April 28.
The death of a man whose body was found in a pool Sunday has been ruled accidental. The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has identified the man found as James White, 64, who went missing from a group home Feb. 26, according to police. He was found less than a mile away from his group home. "The cause of death is listed as drowning complicated by hypothermia," the release states. "There are no signs of foul play, and no criminal charges will be filed." The pool in which he was found is located in the 8600 block of McDonogh Road in Owings Mills. Officers found the body of a 33-year-old woman at her apartment Tuesday night.
UPDATE 1:25 p.m. Feb. 6: Baltimore County Police arrested a 33-year-old man Wednesday morning in an Owings Mills homicide. Police found the body of Katie Hadel, 33, in her apartment on Wellhaven Circle Tuesday night while responding to a domestic disturbance report. Two small children were found unharmed in the apartment, according to a police press release. Hadel was stabbed multiple times and was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said. At 10:09 p.m. Tuesday, officers from the Pikesville precinct were called to the unit block of Wellhaven Circle.
