Former City Police Officer Facing 35 Years For Shooting Incident

A former Baltimore City police officer is facing up to 35 years in prison if he is convicted of shooting a man who was allegedly trespassing, court records show. Richard Michael Heymann, 42, was officially charged Wednesday with first- and second-degree assault. He has since been released on $75,000 bond. Heymann, of the 3000 block of Hillsdale Court in Abingdon, MD, was found by police Tuesday morning tending to a man’s gunshot wounds in the 300 block of West Stablers Church Road in Parkton, MD, in northern Baltimore County.
