Chilly Dog Is Home

The missing special-needs pit bull has been reunited with his family.

Chilly Dog, the special-needs pup of Kathy Homan-Soul and Tom Soul of White Hall, is back home. Well, almost. He is spending the night at Jacksonville Veterinary Hospital—a little worse for the wear, having been missing since Aug. 24. Chilly was found huddled in the Souls’ neighbor's carport. He has lost 10 pounds, has many small injuries and is fighting an infection. His left eye is scratched and ulcerated, and he may lose it. “He probably wasn't far from the house at all—he was just out there in the woods and the corn field, I guess,” Kathy said. “There’s a lot of raspberry bushes back by where he was. The Update on Chilly Dog

The search for a missing special-needs dog has taken over the Internet.

The bad news is: Chilly Dog is still missing. The good news is: Hundreds upon hundreds of people have been helping spread the word about the disappearance of the 6-year-old pit bull who suffered brain damage after being abandoned in the snow—frozen, as a puppy, and left for dead. Chilly was rescued by Kathy Homan-Soul and Tom Soul of White Hall, MD. For the past five years, they have been working with his special needs and behavioral differences. But he disappeared on the Northern Central Railroad Trail on Weisburg and White Hall roads last Wednesday. Kathy, desperately worried, knowing how different Chilly is from other dogs, used her Facebook page to post photos of him in hopes of spreading the word about his disappearance. Patch …
