Jermell Brandon took the witness stand in the trial of alleged co-conspirators accused of murdering a teenager last December.
(Updated 5:45 p.m.)—A suspect in the fatal December shooting at Towson Town Center said his alleged co-conspirator Frank Williams ordered the hit against a Baltimore teen. Jermell Brandon made the statement Tuesday morning while on the witness stand at Circuit Court for the trial against Williams, 31, and William Ward III, 44, who are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree murder and first-degree assault. Brandon, Williams, Ward and another man, alleged shooter Tyrone Brown, were arrested in February in connection with the death of 19-year-old Rodney Vest Pridget. Baltimore County police charged a group of men with Dec. 19 murder of Rodney Vest Pridget.
UPDATE (4:45 p.m.)—Baltimore County police have charged four men in the December shooting death of a Baltimore man at Towson Town Center. Rodney Vest Pridget, 19, was shot and killed on Dec. 19, just outside of the mall. Police found his body lying on the exterior sidewalk outside Nordstrom with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the police. Detectives believe Tyrone Chester Brown Jr., 19, of the 3900 block of Lowndes Avenue in Baltimore gunned down Pridget. Police responded to shots fired outside Nordstrom and arrived to find a man dead on the sidewalk. Officers searched inside the mall for the shooter, but no suspects have been identified.
