A family of Ravens fans created this Ravens-themed cover of "Call Me Maybe" in time for your purple Friday.
Just in time for the most important Purple Friday of the year (so far), this enthusiastic group of Ravens fans uploaded this video to YouTube. It's a cover of the summer smash-hit "Call Me Maybe" with a decidedly pro-Ravens spin ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship rematch against the New England Patriots. The creator, who's YouTube account is RobinsMatt, posted the following comments with the song: "It's AFC Championship week and we thought we'd show our support with a song! The lyrics are mine but the song parodied is "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen and she owns all rights to it and whatnot. We're comin for you again, Patriots, but this time we brought a real kicker. You may have already met. ;)" Do you know the performers in the video…

The county executive renames Patriot Plaza to "Ravens Plaza" in hopes of an AFC Championship victory.
County Executive Kevin Kamenetz may be a political statesman, but he's no patriot... fan. At a rally Friday, Kamenetz rallied together about 100 anxious Ravens fans for a renaming of Patriot Plaza in Towson, to Ravens Plaza (just for the weekend, maybe, depending on whether or not they win or lose. Who knows? We'll follow up if they win). You can read the full recap from the rally on Towson Patch. In the meantime, show off your Purple Pride! Post photos of your gameday celebration, maybe add your famous football-food recipe to the comments section below.

Havre de Grace Patch Editor Sean Welsh, a former Baltimore sportswriter, offers his take on Wild Card Weekend as it pertains to the Ravens.
The Ravens might be unstoppable in the AFC Playoffs. They just need some help. Finding a way to host the AFC title game? Make your plans for Indy. They're Super Bowl-bound. Playing at New England for the conference championship? Gulp. I'm a big believer in the Ravens this season—provided they're playing before 70,000-some screamin' Ball So Hard University students. On the road, forget it. Don't ask why. Even heading into the season finale at Cincinatti, I had little faith. Looking at this weekend's playoff crop, I'm analyzing things from this angle: Who has the best shot of going into New England and picking off the Brady Bunch? After all, not only do the Ravens win at home, but so, too, do we—the residents of the Baltimore area. There's a…
