Incomplete storms to 2012 win on jockey Joey Elliott after tough outings last year.
After just missing a Grand National victory last year and falling in the 2011 Hunt Cup, Incomplete won My Lady's Manor on Saturday afternoon. Jockey Joey Elliott rode Incomplete over the three mile timber course against a crowded field of 14 horses vying to win the $30,000 purse in the first jewel of Maryland steeplechasing's triple crown. The pair finished the race in 5 minutes, 58 seconds. "It was good to see Incomplete back to his old self," Elliott said. Incomplete's owner Robert Kinsley said he felt more confident today than he did in the previous year's race. "I wasn't as scared as I was last time," Kinsley said. "Today I felt better. [Elliott and trainer Ann Stewart] did a beautiful job to get this horse ready." Bubble Economy and …

Only three horses finished as jockey Blythe Miller Davies kept her horse focused on winning Maryland's premiere steeplechase event.
With about a mile to go in Saturday’s 115th Maryland Hunt Cup, eventual winner Private Attack’s chief challenge in the third and most cherished jewel of the state's steeplechase triple crown didn’t come from the rest of the field—it was boredom. The attrition of the four-mile course’s grueling 22 jumps over Worthington Farms in Glyndon had whittled the 10 starters to just three survivors and Private Attack—winner of the Grand National the previous weekend—was in cruise mode far ahead of second-place runner, And The Eagle Flys. Despite the huge lead, winning rider Blythe Miller Davies said the finish was no cakewalk. “We already had been three miles before we even got to the 17th (jump), so that’s a long way,” Davies said. “And he wasn’t so…
