Yeah, yeah. You have a deep rhetorical purpose, I'm sure.
I have no great points to make and no special draw on the the Truth. Nor do you.
You are a blowhard. Period.

ReplyAnd the Rand Corporation study could not prove in a 146 page document utilizing three sophisticated mathematical models what you claim to warrant by citing several sets of percentages from a a Department of Justice database.
Clown, And a clown hyper-aware of race when the topic is about the death penalty. I find that odd.

ReplyGet JoeBlob. Serving up some copypasta here.
"Given the importance of the death penalty as a symbol in American
life and the perceived political risk to public officials who appear unsympathetic
to the use of the death penalty, this record comes as no
great surprise. Nevertheless, for a nation with a historical commitment
to equal justice under the law, the story is a disappointment. In
particular, the empirical findings from Philadelphia and New Jersey
reported in this Article, 223 indicate that the problem of arbitrariness
and discrimination in the administration of the death penalty is a matter
of continuing concern and is not confined to southern jurisdictions." http://www.lawschool.cornell.edu/research/cornell-law-review/upload/baldus.pdf -

Agreed. Write that in your book.
Mass incarceration is also about social control in post-industrial capitalist society.
If you do not agree to this, the corollary of your above proposition, I lose respect for your intellectual integrity, no big deal for either of us.

ReplyMore bunk. You are apparently uncomfortable with the manner in which juries make distinctions between types of murders and the manner in which judges respond to sentencing guidelines established by legislatures. You prefer to rely on something solid in your analysis, something rigorous like skin color. Given your choice of independent variables, I would hate to see your statistical rendering of the death penalty data.
What is a socialist? You know everything about shariah law. I figured you could help. A liberal socialist?

ReplyWhat on earth do these demographics about skin color have to do with justifying the death penalty? Of course, a disproportionate number of Black citizens are executed; incarcerated; convicted; arrested; and stopped and frisked.
