A husband and father, Chris is a graduate of the Washington Theological Union and St. Hyacinth College-Seminary with degrees in philosophy, theology and pastoral studies. He is a nationally and state certified addiction counselor. Chris is presently the campus minister of a Catholic high school in Maryland and an adjunct professor in the Family Studies and Community Development department at Towson University. During his almost 20 year tenure in the addiction counseling field as a clinician and administrator he oversaw the implementation of treatment program modalities, integrating evidence-based treatments to promote life-long recovery for the clients. Chris' clinical experience is preceded by an almost decade-long pastoral ministry as a hospital chaplain in DC and a retreat leader in the New England region. Chris presents at seminars and trainings across the country and is published in medical and peer-reviewed journals. He is the immediate past President of the Maryland affiliate of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) board of directors, served on the NAADAC Public Policy Committee and the immediate past chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of Maryland (NCADD-MD).  He currently serves on the advisory board for the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children.
