kathleen barker, Neighbor

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Kathleen Barker is a graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame and holds a B.A. in English and Education from Towson University. She also attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana before earning her CPCU and ATM designations. <br><br>A widely-traveled mother of three, Barker worked in New Orleans, LA as a team manager for a Forbes 500 company until just before Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  During her tenure there she wrote feature and human interest articles for the company magazine, and was the recipient of the Field Reporter of the Year Award. She returned to her beloved home state of Maryland in 2006 where she resides in the Timonium-Lutherville area.

She began writing the four-book series, &#34;The Charm City Chronicles&#34; in 2009 and the first, &#34;Ednor Scardens&#34; was released in October 2011.  The second book in the series, &#34;The Body War&#34;, will be released in 2012.

Besides writing, Kate likes to spend time with her family in Maryland, Louisiana, Alabama and New York as well as with her dog, Bullet.
