Maryland State Fair Returns to Timonium for 132nd Season

The Maryland State Fair is returning for its 132nd season in late-August. 

The fair will run from Friday, Aug. 23 to Monday, Sept. 2, according to the fair's website. The  4-H, Farm and Garden, Exhibition and the Mosner-Miller Museum buildings will be open Monday through Thursday from Noon to 10 p.m.
and Friday through Labor Day Monday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.  

Midway rides, games and food stands will be open Monday through Thursday from noon to 10 and Friday through Labor Day Monday from 10 a.m. to close. 

Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors ages 62 and older, $3 for children ages 6 through 11 and free for those 5 and under, the website states. The rides are separately priced and the costs vary.  

Patrons can park on the fairgrounds for a small fee or for free at the Park and Ride location on Deereco Road. Organizers also encourage the use of the light rail, which drops off travelers at the fairgrounds' Cow Palace gate. 

ATM machines are located throughout the fairgrounds, the website states. 

Those looking to save money should check out Dollar Night on Thursday, Aug. 22 when admissions is only $1 and each ride is also $1.
