Lutherville Gets 'Mad Men' Shout Out

Lutherville received a little national recognition last night in the first five minutes of AMC's Mad Men.

As cool as it is to hear your town mentioned on a wildly popular, award-winning drama, it was still kind of a jab.

Here was the setup (from an excited Patch colleague): 

"OK, so basically the head of a ski equipment company is from Lutherville, MD and Roger is handing over Pete the account because he was requested to take over the account and Roger doesn't want to hang with some 'schmo from Lutherville, MD.' "

Schmo? Ski equipment? Does anyone ever remember there being a ski shop in Lutherville decades ago? 

I did a little digging, and apparently Roger Sterling is known for his one-liners.  I guess we should be honored?

Shortly after the episode aired last night, a handful of Twitter users started posting about the mention. (See photos)
