Winter Storm Warning in Effect Until Tomorrow Morning

Multiple forecasts predict several inches of snow accumulation.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the region, in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Snow and sleet are likely, with the chance of several inches of accumulation overnight.

From the National Weather Service:

Tonight: There is a 100 percent chance of precipitation, rain and sleet before 9 p.m. Sleet will continue to fall until 11 p.m. Then snow after 11 p.m. “The snow could be heavy at times,” according to the National Weather Service. “New snow and sleet accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.”

 Tuesday: Snow before 7 a.m., with a high near 33 degrees. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear with a low around 16 degrees.

Tonight: Fifty-eight percent chance of rain and show tonight starting after 7 p.m. Total accumulation: 3 to 6 inches with a low of 26 degrees.

Tuesday: A little accumulation of snow in the early morning. High: 32 degrees. Low: 16 degrees.

From Weather Underground:

Tonight: There is a 100 percent chance of precipitation in the form of “ice pellets” and a low of 23 degrees.

Tuesday: Party cloudy, with a high of 32 degrees.

Tonight: Sleet and rain in the evening with snow beginning to fall after midnight. High: 42 degrees. Low: 25 degrees. Total accumulation: 4 to 6 inches. There is a 100 percent chance of precipitation.

Tuesday: High: 33 degrees. Low: 16 degrees. Mostly cloudy, with a slight chance of snow in the morning. Mostly sunny in the afternoon.
