Crime: Cockeysville Man Robbed at Gunpoint, Pilot Performs Emergency Landing & More

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Cold Bottom Road, 1000 block, between 11:30 and 11:58 a.m., Dec. 15. A 51-year-old Sparks resident had to perform an emergency landing after his black and yellow Rans S-12 airplane developed engine problems. The pilot safely landed the aircraft in an open farm field in North County.

Malcolm Circle, 10300 block, 8 p.m., Dec. 12. Two men, robbed and beat up a 20-year-old Cockeysville man. The suspects displayed a black handgun to the victim before running off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Trails End Circle, 3900 block 6:30 a.m., Dec. 13. A burglar unsuccessfully tried to break into a Phoenix man’s home.

Walker Road, 1000 block, between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Dec. 12. A burglar stole a Samsung Galaxy tablet, loose change and a white pillow case after kicking in the home’s rear door.

Kings Crossing Court, unit block, between 10 p.m., Dec. 9 and 8 a.m., Dec. 10. A burglar stole coins from a Coinmach Inc. machine after prying open an apartment building’s laundry room door. Police believe the same individual is responsible for a similar incident in the unit block of Willow Tree Garth. The coin machines were destroyed in both instances.
