A 28-year-old man’s car broke down about 5 p.m. on April 16 in Frederick, according to the Towson Times. Three men offered the soon-to-be-victim a ride to a pharmacy in the 1100 block of York Road, Baltimore County police spokeswoman Detective Cathy Batton said.

The victim allegedly did not know the three suspects before getting into their red Ford Taurus.

The victim filled his prescription, but before getting back into the car, one of the three suspects physically took the prescription bottle and fled the scene, according to an incident report.

Batton said there is “no indication that this was a situation where somebody was filing a false report to get more medication.”

Police are now trying to identify the suspects involved “so that they can be held accountable for their actions.”

The victim gave police a license plate number, which indicated Ohio tags. The suspects were last seen driving toward Interstate 695.
