Lutherville-Timonium Mostly Spared From Morning Storm Damage

Emergency responders say 911 calls have been directed mainly east of Parkville

Tropical Storm Nicole's wrath has been focused on the east side of Baltimore County, leaving Lutherville-Timonium relatively unscathed.

But a tornado watch has been issued throughout the county until 7 p.m.

Heavy rain soaked the area this morning, but emergency responders, including the Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company, say it's business as usual during times of inclement weather.

"In this area we've gotten wires down, a couple of car accidents, but nothing major. The east side of the county really got hit the hardest," Capt. Steve Weatherby said. "[The east] had several swift water calls, people stranded in their vehicles and a lot of pumping water out of basements, stuff like that."

Aside from high water, he said calls into Station 30 have been "minimal."
