Man Found Dead at the Foot of Parents' Crypts

UPDATE (4 p.m.)—A man was found dead this morning at the , at the foot of his parents' crypts. 

Police have confirmed that the man died from a gunshot wound suffered in an apparent suicide. Patch is awaiting confirmation of the man's identity by police.

Police are in the process of attempting to reach next of kin. The investigation is ongoing. 

The man was found by cemetery groundskeepers a little before 8 a.m., in the cemetery's main mausoleum courtyard, according to Jack Mitchell, Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens president.

The man's body was directly under the side-by-side crypts of his parents, who were entombed at Dulaney Valley in 1991 and 1994, according to cemetery owner John Mitchell.
