Police Seek Public's Help Catching Burglars

Interim precinct commander Lt. Robert McGraw issues statement to community leaders regarding daytime burglary suspects.

Baltimore County police are requesting the public's help in tracking down two men suspected of just north of Lutherville-Timonium and Cockeysville, according to interim Lt. Robert McGraw. 

Areas that have been targeted by the burglars include northern York Road, Vernon Road and Falls Road.  

"We have developed a basic description of the subjects [who] may be responsible and would now need to enlist your help in providing us with many extra sets of eyes and ears," McGraw wrote in an email to community leaders.

The suspects are described as: 

Subject No. 1:  Older white male, mid-50s, about 5-foot-6, 160 pounds, medium build, partially gray hair, and possibly with a mustache.

Subject No. 2:  Older white male, mid-40s, about 5-foot-6, 170 pounds, medium build, partially gray hair and possibly with a mustache.

"Subjects were possibly driving a tan truck with oil tanks in the rear," McGraw wrote. "This could be a large pick up truck with a large 250 gallon tank in the pick-up bed or similar."

The majority of the reported burglaries took place . McGraw urged all residents in the precinct area—Lutherville, Timonium, Cockeysville, Hunt Valley and North County—to lock all windows, doors, barns and sheds. 

If either of the suspects or a matching vehicle is spotted in your neighborhood McGraw said to call 911.

"Do not confront or have any contact with these subjects. Simply obtain a description and location. If anything further is needed, the 911 operator will advise you," he wrote.
