Quick Mart Robbed By Coffee-Wielding Bandits

Two men robbed a Cockeysville convenience store armed with a scalding hot cup of coffee last week, according to a police incident summary. 

The two men walked into Quick Mart, in the 500 block of Cranbrook Road, at about 8:41 p.m. on Jan. 2. One of the men poured himself a cup of coffee and approached the counter to pay for it. His partner wandered about the store. 

As the cashier opened the register, the man threw his hot coffee in the clerk's face. The partner ran behind the counter pushed the clerk as well as another cashier against the wall.

The coffee-wielding suspect grabbed the cash out of the open register. 

Adding insult to injury, the clerk whose face was burned by the coffee would celebrate his 23rd birthday on Jan. 3.

Quick Mart was also robbed in in Feb. 2012.
