Take a Peek Inside Kooper's Tavern North

The Fells Point bar is expanding operations to Mays Chapel and Patch managed to get in the door two months ahead of schedule.

Kooper's Tavern North (of the city) is scheduled to open in Mays Chapel in August.

But before the restaurant/bar opens its doors on Tullamore Road, managing partner Miles Perman is already giving passersby a rare glimpse of what will be on tap so to speak. (See photos.) It's a rare and—some would say—bold move to advertise wares before a grand opening.

But Perman is confident Kooper's is just what the more mature Mays Chapel community ordered.

"The community feedback has been phenomenal," Perman said. He anticipates Kooper's brunch offerings will make a huge splash in the already deep pond that is Lutherville-Timonium's restaurant scene.

He even let Patch take a glimpse inside the quaint tavern Friday morning. (See photo.)

Kooper's will be a little smaller than it's Fells Point founder. The interior will have space for approximately 17 tables and booths, while the outside will be afforded space for five tables.

But what really puts Kooper's ahead of the curve—at least in Baltimore County—is the liquor license owner Patrick Russell managed to secure ahead of it's Aug. 21 grand opening.

The inability to obtain a liquor license is what some say , which called 12240 Tullamore Rd home months before Kooper's envisioned a move to the same location.

Sabor was a highly-acclaimed, Zagat-rated establishment that offered some of the best cuisine in the area. Hands down.
